Scarabs, the sacred dung beetles of Egypt, 

made of black basalt 

The scarab beetle was considered by the Egyptians to be a symbol of the sun god due to its way of life. It was believed that the young beetles emerged from the dung ball that the mother beetle had rolled with her legs. The scarab became the most popular seal amulet of all time and is still used today as a lucky charm.

Product information "30 black basalt scarabs"
In ancient Egypt, the sacred pill turner was regarded as a protective and lucky charm. It was made thousands of times and in many different forms; size and inscription depended on the respective use. This is still the case today, the little beetle is still worn as a popular piece of jewellery. The classic good luck charm is a nice object to display in class or makes a good small gift. Each scarab is handmade, has hieroglyphic characters on its underside and is covered in faience, which gives it its turquoise hue.
