The Gods of Olympus
In Greek mythology, the twelve gods of Olympus or all the main gods are called the Olympian gods (also Olympians). Olympians in the narrow sense are only those gods who reside on Mount Olympus.
Accordingly, Olympians are:
Zeus, father of the gods
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
Hera, goddess of the family
Demeter, goddess of the earth and fertility
Apollo, god of poetry
Artemis, goddess of the hunt
Athena, goddess of wisdom
Ares, god of war
Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty
Hermes, messenger of the gods
Hephaestus, god of volcanoes, of fire
and Hestia, goddess of hearth fire
Actually Hades also belongs to this circle, but was replaced by Hermes, who was later admitted to Olympus.
The pictures can be coloured with coloured pencils or with fibre pens.
