Simple model making sheets for cutting out and gluing together

Pergamon Altar The city of Pergamon was a Greek colony in Asia Minor. Soon it became one of the most important centres of the time and had the reputation of a second Athens. In the 2nd century B.C. King Eumenes II had an altar for the god Zeus built in this city. The frieze on the sides represents the battle between the Greek gods and the giants. In the years 1871-1878 the German archaeologist Carl Humann found remains of the altar during excavations and brought them to Berlin. There the altar was renovated and reconstructed. Today the altar can be admired in Berlin’s Pergamon Museum.
