The Jesus Boat

In Israel, at the beginning of 1986, the remains of an ancient boat dating back to the time of Jesus were discovered in the Sea of Galilee. It therefore became known as the “Jesus Boat”. Jesus often went out with his disciples, among them fishermen, to the Sea of Galilee. Since the antique port of Magdala (today’s Migdal) was in the proximity of the find place, one called the boat also “Magdala boat”.
