This pre-cut cardboard kit is fully functional and old school in the truest sense of the word.
More than 40 years ago, this ingeniously simple calculator without electricity and illuminated display was part of the standard equipment at school - today, the slide rule is not only a coveted collector's item, but still an exciting teaching tool to make arithmetic vivid.
The operation is very simple
All you have to do is set the "1" of the tongue of the movable middle element to the desired number and you can read off any multiplication from the line of the movable slide. Divisions are just as easy. The little wonder even knows how to handle square and cubic numbers as well as roots.
The AstroMedia slide rule is the world's first new development since the beginning of mass production of electronic calculators.

Assembling the slide rule is not difficult: The 2 cardboard parts are cut out and glued together. The slide rule is ideal for teaching at secondary schools, but also as material for other group and project work in the field of mathematics.
