The Small Telescope - AstroMedia
This special edition is special fun for both young and old children.
The great Italian natural scientist Galileo Galilei pointed his homemade telescope at the sky for the first time in 1609. The discoveries he made changed our view of the world from the ground up.
This kit for a Galilean telescope is easy to assemble and impresses with its lovely drawings. The finished telescope has a 6½-fold magnification with the image upright and thus, in addition to observations during the day, also allows you to look at the shadows of the moon's craters (best during a half moon) and much more.
Tip: With the inexpensive photo tripod adapter, the telescope can be mounted on any standard photo or video tripod. This suppresses the small tremors of the hand and the telescope unfolds its full power.
The Small Telescope is an ideal project for groups and school classes.
