The solar photo paper / Cyanotype paper (14 x 19 cm), 20 sheets - AstroMedia
A special paper from the childhood days of photography, ideally suited for "solar photography".
Experience your blue wonder
Cyanotype is a process that is as fascinating as it is simple, because it makes use of the light sensitivity of an iron salt. Developed in 1842 by the English natural scientist and astronomer John Herschel, iron blue printing continued to be important well into the 20th century. Or where do you think the blueprint came from?
This is how it works
Objects placed on the paper leave their outline after a short exposure to the sun, like a silhouette. The development and fixing is done with tap water, a darkroom is not necessary.
Good to know
The coating of the recycled paper is non-toxic and therefore also suitable for children.
A beautiful gift for young and old.
