AstroMedia Cut-out kit for a model showing the path of the sun throughout the year.

How does the sun move?
This simple astronomical model shows the arc in which the sun moves above and below the horizon for each location between the equator and the North Pole and for each day of the year. It can also impressively depict rising and setting points on the horizon, polar day and polar night, and the equatorial sun rising vertically from the horizon. The Sunset is thus the modest little brother of the 212.TPL tabletop planetarium.

This is how it is done
Move the sun to any date, set the horizon to any latitude and pan the solar arc. This way you can follow the sun's passage from east to west above and below the horizon. The model is held so that the horizon always remains horizontal.

For teachers and pupils

The assembly of the sun walk is very simple. Therefore, it is particularly suitable as teaching material at (secondary) schools as well as for all other group and project work in the fields of physics and astronomy.
