Where is the sun right now? When does it rise, and when does it set? This solar clock makes the events in the sky visible—showing how the sun’s path changes throughout the year. Its single hand does more than just indicate the hour; it carries a small sun disc along on its daily journey.How does it work?
A 24-hour movement drives the hand, causing it to complete one full rotation around the dial each day. The sun disc mounted on the hand is adjusted manually to reflect the current time of year. Together with the dark-blue "night disc," it indicates the sun’s position, its sunrise and sunset points, and the shifting duration of day and night. The night disc is interchangeable and can be customized for any location between the North Pole and the equator.Even daylight saving time is accounted for The trick: when the clocks change, you don’t adjust the hand—instead, you shift the movable ring containing the hour numerals. This ensures the time remains accurate, while the sun stays exactly where it belongs.
