Simple AstroMedia cardboard kit with two precision lenses for 6x magnification

A scientific sensation
In 1609, Galileo Galilei perfected the telescope invented a year earlier in Holland and pointed it at the night sky. His discoveries - craters on the moon, crescent phases on Venus, moons around Jupiter - were a scientific sensation and founded a new astronomy that still shapes our view of the world today.

Galileo reinterpreted
Two lenses connected by a cardboard tube: AstroMedia reinterprets the classic Galileo telescope and offers astronomy novices and enthusiasts an easy introduction to stargazing. The finished telescope has a 6-fold magnification with the image upright and thus, in addition to observations during the day, also allows you to look at the shadows of the moon's craters (best during a half moon) and much more.

Tip
With the inexpensive photo tripod adapter, the telescope can be mounted on any standard photo or video tripod. This suppresses the small tremors of the hand and the telescope unfolds its full power.

The Little Galileo Telescope is an ideal project for groups and school classes.
